CHESTER,WV- A variety of entertainment and dining options will be available to those attending the West Virginia Derby at Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack & Resort on August 1. A record crowd is expected to be on hand to view the Grade II Derby, the richest graded stakes in West Virginia when “Mine That Bird,” winner of the Kentucky Derby will be among the contenders for the $750,000 Derby purse.

A variety of Derby dining options are available, ranging from casual on the grandstand deck and in the concession stand to buffet dining in the Terrace Dining Room and Man O War Dining Room. Dining in the Terrace Dining Room is by reservation while seating for the Man O’War buffet is on a first-come basis with no reservations required.. Dining is also available on the hotel side in the Gatsby, Riverfront Marketplace Buffet and Mahogany Sports Bar. Reservations are suggested for La Bonne Vie.

Post Derby entertainment will be featured in the Mahogany Sports Bar with Todd Jones, a country and rock band, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
