CHESTER,WV – A nationally acclaimed comedian, D.L. Hughley, will appear at THE HARV on April 18.

Hughley has earned the “king of the comedians” title and currently stars in his own one-hour special for HBO entitled “Unapologetic.” The special, Hughley's fourth for the network, premiered in September and is currently available on DVD. In its review, the Hollywood Reporter says “the likable Hughley is the real deal, a guy who comes with his A-material and nails every line with smarts and savvy….connecting with the audience from the first minute through the last.” In conjunction with the release of the DVD, Hughley is currently on a national comedy tour, the Unapologetic Tour.

Hughley can also be seen as the newest host of HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam” which premiered early January. He is also host of VH1’s Critics Choice Awards, the first awards show of the year honoring the best films and performances of 2007.

Hughley was also recently seen hosting the new BET series “S.O.B.: Socially Offensive Behavior” last summer, which enjoyed spectacular ratings in its debut run.

As the star and producer of his namesake television show that ran on ABC and UPN The Hughleys, he is also well known as one of the standout comedians on the hit comedy docu-film The Original Kings of Comedy. It was this best-selling comedy tour and film of the same name that launched Hughley, as well as fellow comedians Steve Harvey, Bernie Mac and Cedric the Entertainer, into career overdrive. Since his run on the tour and film of the same name, Hughley has appeared in numerous films, including his dramatic feature film debut Shackles.

A veteran of numerous talk show appearances, Hughley switched the tables in 2005, hosting his own talk show on Comedy Central Weekends at the DL. Hughley has also headlined several comedy specials including D.L. Hughley: Going Home, and D.L. Hughley Live. His one-hour comedy special Shocked and Appalled aired last year on Comedy Central, and also released his comedy CD Notes From the GED.

The performance begins at 7:30PM. Tickets are $40 -Gold, $20 – reserved and can be obtained at any Ticketmaster location or on site at the Roarin’20’s Players Club.
