Sunday Showdown
A WBA Fedecentro Heavyweight Title and a NABA Lightweight Title take center stage on April 27th at 2 p.m. in a “Sunday Showdown” at THE HARV at Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack & Resort.
Heavyweight contender Brian “The Beast” Minto 29-2 (18KOs) of Butler, PA will make his return to the ring. Minto will be fighting to defend his WBA Fedecentro Heavyweight title in a 12-round main event against Chad Van Sickle 22-7 (12KOs) of Columbus,OH.
In the co-feature a battle for a NABA lightweight title will pit local USBA ranked lightweight, Verquan “The Show” Kimbrough 19-1-1 (7KOs) of Aliquippa, PA in a rematch against Rodney “The Pitbull” Jones 27-7 (13KOs) of fort Smith, Arkansas in a 10-round bout.
The under card consists of five bouts:
Branden Lee Hinkle, National Collegiate wrestling champion, Mixed Martial Arts fighter and former UFC fighter from Steubenville, OH, will make his professional boxing debut against Billy Greenwalt 1-2 (1KO) from Youngstown, OH in a 4 round heavyweight bout.
Nicolai Firtha 13-4-1 (6KOs) of Akron, OH will face Carlton Johnson 15-15-2 (10KOs) of Pittsburgh, PA in a 8-round heavyweight bout. Billy Lyell 15-5 (3KOs) of Youngstown, OH will be pitted against Dave Saunders 9-4 (6KOs) of Cincinnati, OH in a 6-round middleweight bout.
A 4-round middleweight bout will feature Jimmy Lubash 4-1 (2KOs) of Pittsburgh, PA vs Robert Wilder 2-2 (1KO) of Akron, OH while Cliff Gregory 0-2-2 of Farrell, PA will face Tom Joseph 1-1 of Youngstown, OH in a 4-round welterweight bout.
Tickets for the fight are $100 – Platinum; $60 – Gold; $40 – Reserved; and $25– General Admission and are available through all Ticketmaster locations or on site at the Roarin’20’s Players Club. |
