CHESTER,WV – Rose Mary Williams, corporate director of racing for MTR Gaming Group, Inc., became the first woman to be named to the Harness Track of America’s Executive Committee at the group’s sixth annual joint meeting with Thoroughbred Racing Associations.

Williams has 31 years of experience in the racing industry. She began her career at the then Waterford Park (now Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack & Resort) in the pari-mutuel department. Williams hand calculated races in the computer department and served as Director of Simulcast Racing and Director of Mutuels prior to assuming the position of Director of Racing at Mountaineer. Williams currently is involved in racing at Mountaineer, Presque Isle Downs in Erie, PA, Scioto Downs in Columbus, OH and Running Aces, a harness track in Minnesota slated to open April 11, 2008.

The Harness Track of America (HTA) is a trade association of 44 major harness tracks in the United States and Canada.
