CHESTER, WV – A WBA Regional Heavyweight Title and a USBA Lightweight Title take center stage on December 30 at 2 p.m. in THE HARV at Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack & Resort.
Heavyweight contender Brian “The Beast” Minto (28-2, 17 KOs) of Butler, PA will make his return to the ring. Minto will be headlining the card in a 10-round main event against Byron Polley (27-7-1, 10 KOs) of St. Joseph, Missouri for the vacant WBA Federcentro Heavyweight Title.
A battle for a vacant USBA lightweight title will feature local USBA ranked lightweight, Verquan “The Show” Kimbrough (18-1-1, 7 KOs) of Aliquippa, PA against USBA #14-ranked lightweight Oisin “Gaelic Force” Fagan (20-4, 12 KOs) in a 12-round bout. Originally from Dublin, Ireland, Fagan now resides in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma..
The under card consists of five bouts:
Jim Emrick (2-1, 2 KOs) of Butler, PA will face Corey Gregory (5-14, 3 KOs) of Cleveland, Ohio in a 4-round heavyweight bout. Chad Van Sickle (21-7-3, 12 KOs) of Columbus, Ohio will be pitted against Carlton Johnson (15-4-2, 10 KOs) of Pittsburgh, PA.
A four-round welterweight bout will feature Steve Perry (0-1) of Youngstown, Ohio vs Khristian Geraci (0-2) of Pittsburgh PA while John Lipscomb (3-12) of Cleveland will face Eric Burke (14-6-1, 4 KOs) of Columbus, Ohio in a 4-round welterweight bout. Chris Stallworth (18-1, 3 KOs) of Pittsburgh, PA will battle Dan Whetsel (9-12-1, 5 KOs) of Toledo, Ohio in a 6-round heavyweight bout.
Fight fans will have the opportunity to meet WBC and WBO Middleweight Champion Kelly “Ghost” Pavlik (32-0, 29 KOs) of Youngstown, Ohio who will conduct an autograph session beginning at noon in THE HARV and continuing until 2 p.m.
