CHESTER, WV – Beverly Witten retired from a 38-year teaching career on June 7 and became a millionaire on June 15. The Wadsworth, Ohio resident hit the CA$HOLA jackpot for $3,718,311.54 at Mountaineer Casino Racetrack and Resort only one week after bidding farewell to her teaching career. Witten, who visits Mountaineer once a month, hit the largest jackpot in Lottery history after playing "Chambers of Gold" for two hours. She said her retirement will now hold diverse opportunities. Witten can opt to receive her winnings in an annuity or a lump sum payment. She has opted to receive her winnings in a lump sum payout of $1,945,445.

Witten had only been playing "Chambers of Gold" for two hours when she hit the jackpot. CA$HOLA, a multi-state, multi-million progressive video lottery was launched in July 2006 in conjunction with Rhode Island and Delaware. Jackpots start at $250,000 and can progress to millions. To date the cumulative winnings for four winners who hit the jackpot at Mountaineer is $6,994,758.75.
