CHESTER, WV - CHESTER, WV – Dave Mason, legendary
guitarist and vocalist of Rock & Roll Hall of Fame history,
will appear in concert at Mountaineer Casino Racetrack and Resort’s Grande Ballroom June 16. With a career that
spans 37 years and has encompassed producing, performing
and song writing, the Worcester, England native joined with
Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi and Chris Wood to form TRAFFIC
at age 18. At 19 he penned “Feelin’ Alright,”
a song that has since become a rock and roll anthem and
has been recorded by over 48 artists.
In 1969, Mason headed to the USA to pursue a solo career
and struck gold with the album “Alone Together,”
considered a rock classic. This was followed by five albums
for CBS/Sony including “Dave Mason” and “Mariposa
De Ora,” four of which received gold albums. “Let
It Flow,” which has gone well over platinum, contained
the classic “We Just Disagree,” a top-ten single.
Mason has performed on albums with The Rolling Stone’s,
George Harrison, Paul McCartney and Jim Hendrix. In 1993,
he joined the group Fleetwood Mac and toured with them for
two years. During this time the group’s album “TIME”
was released containing Mason’s lead vocals, “Blow
By Blow” and “I Wonder Why.”
The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 –
Gold and $15 – Reserved and are available through
