CHESTER, WV – The areas best professional boxing prospects will face their toughest test to date in a seven-bout card at Mountaineer Casino Racetrack and Resort on Thursday, September 30. The event is presented by Mountaineer Casino Racetrack and Resort and World Class Promotions and will be located in Mountaineer’s Grande Ballroom.

Unbeaten N.A.B.C. America’s Featherweight Champion Verquan Kimbrough will be competing in his second eight-round bout. The Aliquippa native will take his 9-0 record to the ring in a non-title bout against tough Jose Espinal of the Domican Republic. Kimbrough won his title in July with an eight-round decision over Ubaldo Olivencia. Espinal, who sports a 4-3 record, has two decision wins over Olivencia and has never been stopped as a professional. In a highly anticipated co-feature, Monty Meza-Clay will also be in an eight-round bout when he takes on Terrell Hargrove who most recently upset West Virginia Jr. Welterweight Champion Scott McCracken. Kuhn, whose defeat of Johnny “Macho Midget” Bailey in June gave him the West Virginia Welterweight belt, has a 14-1-1 record with ten knockouts. Black has a very respectable 6-3-1 record and is coming off a draw with prospect Joshua Smith of Nashville, Tennessee, This will be a six-round non title affair.

Perella is currently ranked 21st in the world by the computer ratings. “Checkmate” Serrano has a 7-0 record with 5 big knockouts. The Brooklyn, N.Y. boxer is currently ranked tenth in the world by the same ratings. The winner of this bout will surely be in line for a World Title shot in the near future.
