CHESTER, WV - A five-year labor agreement between Local 101,
Service Employees International Union (SEIU) of the AFL-CIO,
and Mountaineer Casino Racetrack and Resort has been signed.
The SEIU represents 55 pari-mutuel workers and video lottery
cashiers trackside at Mountaineer.
“
Local 101, SEIU, is extremely pleased to have signed a five-year
contract with Mountaineer,” said Sherry Unger, president
of Local 101. “We have always had a good working relationship
with the management of Mountaineer and we are looking forward
to continuing to work with management as Mountaineer continues
its growth and development.”
“We look forward to continuing to work with Local 101,” said
Rosemary Williams, Mountaineer’s director of racing. “The
Union has, and will continue to be, an integral part of Mountaineer’s
evolution.”
