CHESTER, WV - Pat Boone, the #2 artist of the early rock n’ roll
era and the #10 singles artist of all time, comes to Mountaineer Casino Racetrack and Resort on August 28.
Boone, whose hit recording career began in 1955, holds the
BILLBOARD MAGAZINE all time record of 200 consecutive weeks
on the charts selling more than 45 million records and charting
sixty songs. Eighteen of his recordings hit the Top 10 with
his Platinum recording, “Love Letters in the Sand,” remaining
on the charts for 34 consecutive weeks.
Boone’s multi-media, multi-faceted live show includes
an array of musical genres that range from Pop to Country including
excerpts from his American Glory video.
With a multi-faceted career that has included both television
and movie contracts, Boone has seen success in a variety of
venues. He appeared for a year and half as a regular on “The
Arthur Godfrey Show,” was awarded his own ABC prime time
weekly musical variety show, and had an unbroken string of
hit records on Dot. His movie credits include “State
Fair,” “Journey to the Center of the Earth” and
April.”
Boone also experienced success as an author with his first
book, “Twixt Twelve and Twenty” becoming a number
one Nonfiction bestseller for two years in a row. In more recent
years he has hosted two weekly radio programs, “The Pat
Boone Show” and “Then and Now,” from the
Music of Your Life Radio Network.
The show is slated to begin at 8 p.m. in Mountaineer’s
Grande Ballroom. Tickets are $25 – Gold and $15 – Reserved.
