CHESTER, WV - A “Family Reunion” at Mountaineer Casino Racetrack and Resort will feature an appearance by
the undisputed boss of America’s most notorious family.
James Gandolfini, whose portrayal of mob boss Tony Soprano
won him a Golden Globe for Actor of the Year and an Emmy for
Best Actor in a Drama, will be available for a photo session
with the public on January 15 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. A limited
number of tickets will be sold for the photo with Gandolfini
and fellow cast members at a cost of $20 per photo.
Gandolfini will be joined by fellow cast members on the Sopranos,
Michael Imperioli (Christopher), Tony Sirico (Paulie Walnuts),
Steve Schirripa (Bobby “Bacala” Baccalieri), John
Ventimiglia (Artie Bucco) and Vincent Curatola (Johnny “Sack” Sacramoni).
Also joining the group will be former cast member Vincent Pastore,
whose character, Big Pussy, met his untimely demise during
the show’s last season.
For those desiring a more intimate interchange, a “Family
Dinner” with Gandolfini and fellow cast members in La
Bonne Vie is scheduled on January 15 at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are
$500 per person for the sumptuous dinner with Gandolfini. Space
is limited and tickets are on sale now at the Roarin 20’s
Players Club.
Beginning January 1 and continuing through the January 15th
appearance, Mountaineer will feature a variety of events themed
around the popular television series
A “James Gandolfini Look a Like” contest will
take place at 4:30 p.m. on January 15. Located in the Lighthouse
Lounge, the contest will award a dinner for two (at the winner’s
convenience) at La Bonne Vie to the individual selected for
the closest resemblance to Gandolfini.
A Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra Karaoke Contest on January
14 at 8 p.m. will also offer the winner a dinner for two at
La Bonne Vie.
A nostalgic trip down memory lane with the songs of Frank
Sinatra at the Lighthouse Lounge will take place 7 – 9
p.m., January 12 through 15 with Strolling Entertainers featuring
Italian music from 6 – 8 p.m., January 9 through 14.
A “Family Recipe Dinner” at The Gatsby Restaurant
will be featured January 5, 9, 12 and 14 from 4 – 7 p.m.
with an authentic Sicilian spaghetti and meatball dinner for
$5.95
A t-shirt of “The Family” will be given away on
January 8 and 9 beginning at 10 a.m. in The Lighthouse Lounge
with 2,500 shirts given away each day while supplies last.
