CHESTER, WV - The legendary Temptations bring their breath
taking harmony and stylish choreography to Mountaineer Casino Racetrack and Resort on November 6. Anointed as the standard-bearers
for the Motown sounds for decades, The Temptations have captured
the hearts of audiences from the 1960’s to the present
with fans citing the “power in their songs and fire in
the soles of their feet” as the reason for their sustaining
popularity.
With hit tunes that have become woven into the fabric of pop
music’s tapestry, the Temptations will bring back memories
of the sixties with “The Way You Do The Things You Do,” “My
Girl” and “I’m Gonna Make You Love Me.” As
the world eased into the Seventies, the Temptations picked
up steam with “Papa Was A Rolling Stone,” “I
Can’t Get Next to You,” and “Superstar”.
As the group endured the test of time, their legendary appeal
has crossed international and social barriers. Their audiences
have varied from tiara wearers to kids who scraped their lunch
money together to buy tickets so that they might hear a long
succession of hits including “Treat Her Like A Lady” and “Soul
to Soul.” The Temptations’ story has been the stuff
of which movies have been made while their songs have been
the basis for many a moonlight rendezvous.
The concert will be located in The Harv and will begin at
7:30 p.m. Tickets are $60 – Gold, $30 – Reserved
and $15 – General Admission and are available through
all Ticketmaster locations or on site at Mountaineer at the
Downtown Roarin’ 20’s Player Department.
