MTR GAMING GROUP RESCHEDULES FOURTH QUARTER AND YEAR-END RELEASE AND CONFERENCE CALL

CHESTER, WV - March 15, 2007 - MTR Gaming Group, Inc. (NasdaqGS:MNTG) today announced that it has rescheduled issuance of its financial results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year ended December 31, 2006 and its corresponding conference call. The Company expects to announce the specific date when it will issue its financial results, and hold a conference call to discuss those results, in the next few days.

The rescheduling is specifically and solely related to the Company's auditor's review of the Company's position with respect to the intangible asset impairment analysis concerning Scioto Downs in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
