MTR GAMING GROUP SCHEDULES FIRST QUARTER CONFERENCE CALL
CHESTER, WV - April 24, 2002 - MTR Gaming Group, Inc. (Nasdaq
National Market:MNTG) today announced that Edson R. (Ted) Arneault,
President and CEO, and John W. Bittner, Jr., CFO, will conduct
a conference call on Tuesday, April 30, 2002 at 3:00 pm. ET
to discuss the Company's financial results for the first quarter
ended March 31, 2002. The corresponding news release announcing
financial results will be issued that afternoon, in advance
