MTR GAMING GROUP SCHEDULES FINANCIAL RESULTS

CHESTER, WV - March 28, 2002 - MTR Gaming Group, Inc. (Nasdaq
National Market:MNTG) today announced that it will issue its
financial results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year ended
December 31, 2001 on Monday, April 1, 2002. The results will
be released after the close of the stock market. Edson R. (Ted)
Arneault, President and CEO, will conduct a conference call
focusing on the financial results and the progress of the Company's
expansion in West Virginia at 10:00 a.m. ET on Tuesday, April
